Week 5

Week Five Term Four
It is week five already in Kauri and the last term of the year. Today most of the seniors are at the athletics inter schools so some of my classmates and I are in Kahikatea. At the start of the day we played all sorts of different maths games in partners. I went with Nikki who taught me how to play most of the games. For writing we wrote an autobiographical poem about ourselves and we had to decorate it and publish it.

Book review - The imaginary

I am going to do book review on A.F Harold's book  the imaginary. This book is about an imaginary boy called rudger and he meets Amanda who has a huge imagination but rudger  is in trouble.Mr bunting eats imaginaries and he is hungry again,and when something happens to Amanda rudger finds himself fading.....
The pictures are really cool but some of them give me the creeps especially if you read it while you look at them .I rate this book 8/10.

Biscuit selling

In the weekend Mum and I went to the warehouse to sell Girl Guide biscuits. We didnt get all lot of customers and it was very boring. It was my first time selling biscuits on a stall. I really enjoy going around houses. Lucky for me I brought two books to the stall so I didnt get to bored. I was surprised because a lot of people didnt know that you can get chocolate biscuits as well as plain.

My birthday!

Last weekend it was my birthday!I woke up extremely early and wasnt allowed up.At last i managed to persuade mum to let me get up.Mum and Dad gave me a magic set,a cool book,a ruler in the shape of a dog but best of all they bought me an ipad mini! we spent the rest of the day getting ready for my party which was going to be in the afternoon.Finally it was time to start my party. everybody started to arrive.When everyone was there i opened my presents.I got a doughnut maker,another book,a useful box and some clothes. We played lots of games and ate loads of food. Soon enough it was time for everyone to go.Today had been a truly awesome day!

Boring

My weekend was pretty boring . I read three very long books in half an hour. Its my new record! Dad and me planned some of my birthday party because I am turning nine on the 21st. So that is basically all i did one my weekend. I will definitely have a good time this weekend!  

my weekend

Last weekend i got to go on a plane for my first time. we were flying to Auckland, and guess what. It was my firs time going to Auckland! In Auckland Dad,Mum and i went to Kelly Tarltons which is a public aquarium with things like stingrays,sharks and penguins. Also we went to a mall for lunch and a look around. Afterwards we went to the harbour and wandered around Queen street. Son it was time to go home.

Sushi!

Sushi!

Sushi is one of my favourite foods.It is from Japan. For them, it is a common and everyday food. Sushi s a type of seafood. You can have lots of different fillings, like tuna,chicken,vegetables etc. Nori is what they wrap your rice and filling in. Nori is actually seaweed.

The colour blue

Blue

Blue is one of my favourite colours. It is supposed to be a very calming colour. Blue is a primary colour like red and yellow. In India the colour blue is thought to bring bad luck. Did you know that 8% of the worlds population have blue eyes.

 

Eek spiders!

Spiders

I am not very fond of spiders, in fact I am scared of them but I 

have a right to be scared of a tunnelweb spider. They can kill a human in 15 minutes!!!!!! 

Spiders can be found in every continent except Antarctica. There are around 4000 species of spider. Did you know that Giant Huntsman spiders have leg-spans of around 30 cm!!Although
tarantulas may seem scary ,most tarantulas pose no threat to humans at all.
